Line Construction

The expansion of power distribution-, railway- and telecommunication networks has initiated an increase in the demand for accurate instruments for measuring the tension in stay wires, cables and wires to be tightened.

Electricity distribution authorities all over the world use PIAB Dynamometers to measure the tension of the cable in line construction.

The rapid growth of the mobile telephone networks has also led to an increase in the demand for masts and towers, many using stay wires as part of the mechanical construction.

Market needs led to new clever products
The market demands have led Gigasense to develop its unique PIAB RTM 20D Rope Tension Meter. The PIAB RTM 20D is applied directly to the wire rope to be measured. No disconnection of wires to measure the tension force is required. Other suitable PIAB instruments in line construction are the PIAB Dynamometer and the PIAB LL Link.
