The knowledge upon which PIAB Sweden AB was once founded is the knowledge of force measurement. It started with the PIAB Dynamometer for accurate measurement of forces in e.g. line constructions. Since two years, the company name is Gigasense AB and we provide accurate and robust force measurement products for tension and compression forces.
Over time, market needs are extended and we develop more advanced products such as electronics for overload protection and life time monitoring in cranes and hoisting systems. We provide GIGASENSE Anti Collision System, a microwave based and extremely robust system for electrical overhead traveling cranes /EOT:s and other track bound cranes that run on the same track.
To a great extent, our products are used in steel works, steel mills, paper mills, mining and container harbors.
