The Gigasense Board of Directors today appointed Maria Mörnborg, 44, new Chief Executive Officer of Gigasense. Ms. Mörnborg will assume the position on November 1st, 2011. Her previous position was at Mobile Climate Control where she was Sales Director. Ms. Mörnborg has a technical background with several years’ experience from sales leading positions on a growing global market with technology-intense products, particularly in container handling, mining, construction and other commercial vehicle industry.

Maria Mörnborg succeeds Ivar Horst, 65, who earlier this year announced to the Board of Directors that he intends to retire at year end 2011.

The measurement and technology company Gigasense, with its subsidiary JK Lab Instrument is a technology-intense group of companies with more than 20 skilled employees and a turnover of approximately SEK 40 million.
The group develops, manufactures and markets instruments for crane safety solutions, force measurement and material testing. About 66 percent of sales is exported and sales has increased much in recent years, with Germany and Sweden as the largest individual markets. Now the focus is on strengthening the presence in other parts of the international market.
