The LKVE/i/-c is a Force Transmitter mounted to a stationary rope part. The LKVE/i/-c fully conforms to IP 67, offers high repeatability, and is made for use in aggressive industrial environments. The force transmitter is designed to suit the tough requirements, with the lifting height being particularly important.
The LKVE/i/-c combined with a CSM Crane Safety Monitor is perfectly suited as overload protection system for lifting equipment. The LKVE/i/-c is delivered for a range of forces up to 4000 kg in single rope part and from 5 mm to max. 16 mm rope diameter. The LKVE/i/-c, together with a large format display, can easily act as a stand alone load indication system.
The LKVE/i/-c electronic overload protection system consists of a force transmitter with amplifier and an electronic signal processing unit. The rope is deflected through a slight angle between the two wheels and the clamping jaw. When loaded, the rope tends to straighten and applies a force on the load cell. The power from the load cell is converted into a signal, proportional to the power on the load cell. The LKVE/-c has an output signal of 4-20 mA and the LKVEi-c has an output signal of mV/V.
The LKVE/i/-c is installed directly on the rope and there is no need for recalibration when the rope is replaced. The LKVE/i/-c does not interfere with the construction of the lifting equipment. Thanks to the clever design of the clamping jaw, the measurement is not affected by the changes in the rope diameter that might occur after some use. The load cell can be mechanically overloaded by 100% nominal load without affecting the accuracy of measurement.
