The Gigasense Rope Tension Meter, RTMe, is very simple and handy to use. Simply hold and “clip” it to the rope to be tested and use the large hand screw to deflect the rope to a fixed angle.
RTMe is the ideal instrument for fast, simple, and accurate measurement of tensile forces in pre-tensioned or fixed wire ropes. Typical applications include railway overhead contact lines, guy wires for masts and towers, and other guyed structures.
The instrument can measure tensile forces up to 20 tons and is designed for wire ropes with diameters up to 42 mm.
RTMe is highly user-friendly and requires minimal preparation. It is mounted directly onto the wire rope and operated by bending the rope to a defined angle using the ergonomically designed tensioning screw.
